The House convenes at 9:00 am for postponed suspension votes and adoption of H.R. 1, the Economic Stimulus bill. The Senate convenes at 10:00 am and will be in morning business until 5:00 pm. The Senate expects to vote on H.R. 1 this evening.

Sorry for the lack of updates; it's been a busy week for me.

The House convenes at 10:00 am for consideration of suspensions. The Senate convenes at 10:00 am for morning business. Meanwhile, the H.R. 1 page has been updated. Expect to see final action on that bill in the next couple days.

The Senate convenes at 12:00 noon for debate (until 3:00 pm) on H.R. 1, the Economic Stimulus bill. The Senate will then further debate H.R. 1 beginning at 1:00 pm on Monday, with a cloture vote on the Nelson/Collins amendment at 5:30 pm. A vote on or in relation to this amendment will occur at 12:00 noon Tuesday, with a 60-vote threshhold. No further amendments are in order.

Before adjourning on Wednesday, the Senate passed S. Res. 27 (Pittsburgh Steelers) and S. 383 (Emergency Economic Stabilization Act) by unanimous consent.
